| Singing contemporized interpretations of traditional Punjabi songs, Arif Lohar captures the sights and sounds of modern Pakistani culture with a unique mix of pop and folk stylings. Playing his beloved chitma, a traditional percussion instrument resembling tongs, Arif Lohar will be backed by an ensemble of talented Pakistani musicians and joined by guest artist Sanam Marvi. A popular Pakistani folk and Sulfi singer from Pakistan's Sindh region and trained by famed Pakistani qawwali singer Ustad Fateh Ali Khan, Sanam Marvi interprets messages of love and peace in Sufi poetry with warm vocal expressions in multiple languages including Sindhi, Urdu, and Punjabi. |
